California court confirms what men have known for years, female nudity is no crime.
For once a judge factors the will of the people when making a major judicial decision regarding public displays of nudity. Let’s hope this doesn’t get overturned in appeal.

Would you vote for this man? Not many will.
California’s Democratic party has learned once again how not to win a gubernatorial race. It is certain that they will once again lose in a most-decidedly Democratically state. How?
1. Failing to find a candidate worth supporting. Phil Angelides is not only a poor choice for governor, he […]

Putting the HP spy scandal to shame, the embattled campaign of Phil Angelides admitted that it was responsible for the leak to the Los Angeles Times of tapes of a private meeting of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Sleazy? No?
“Phil Angelides has a long history of gutter politics,” said Katie Levinson in a statement, “and it is […]

Steve Lopez writes in today’s Los Angeles Times about Supervisor Mike Antonovich’s “screwball mailings:”
Antonovich is fond of putting staffers and clerks to work sending phonebook-size collections of his favorite “news” items to a few hundred friends and colleagues. Each time Uncle Mike gets the urge to regale pals with his ding-a-ling discoveries, it costs us […]

Following the tragic deaths of Stanislav Ionov and Scott Bleifer last year, a number of parties have been working on making Pacific Coast Highway safer for cyclists. Martin Sheen was out stumping for Kelly Hayes-Raitt for California State Assembly including sending us this nice unsolicited photo. You’d think such an environmental candidate would have been a little bit more judicious with junk mail.
Unfortunately Sheen’s candidate got trounced and was even beaten by this guy. I guess the voters were looking for a […]

In what can only be thought of as a sick inside joke, the appeals lawyers for serial killer Richard Ramirez (aka the Night Stalker) who killed 13 people in the Los Angeles area in the 1980s timed the filing of their appeal to 6.6.6 (2006). Not coincidentally this is the exact same date that the […]

“The worst, most offensive campaign ever seen in the State of California…”
