A thought on alternative energy

From today’s LA Times – Ethanol demand may raise food costs for needy – Law of unintended consequences baby! coupled with Global warming endangers US corn production maybe ethanol isn’t the answer to our energy problems, unless by answer you mean starving the poverty stricken to death thereby decreasing both energy and food demand.

Just a thought.

It gets even better. At this time, bio-fuels are less ecological than gas by the time you take into the production value of ethanol. In addition, in the mad rush to appease Al Gore, rain forests are being destroyed in record numbers in South America. That doesn’t do the global warming issues any good at all.

We just need to go full-nukular asap. Until we quit burning something, the problem will never go away.
