What is the optimal distance to walk up a flight of stairs behind a beautiful woman?

If X = your height, y = the height of the girl, and z = slope of the stairs, then the ideal distance (z’) = [the square of (.5 * Y) + the square of (.2 * X)] times Z.

And you wondered how you could possibly use trigonometry.

It’s not surprising that this comes out of Asia given their significant lead over American students in math. Perhaps if we used graphs like this for teaching aids our kids would work harder on word problems.
