LAT: Extra, Extra, Read All About It! (then please buy this limited edition collector’s item)
The Los Angeles Times seems to be settling in on its new business model. Having finally decided that it’s impossible to make money just providing news, they appear to be moving eBay’s world of selling Obama crap and other collectibles.
I’ve been a Times subscriber for a very long time and I’m not certain that I’ve ever received an email from them until I received this:

No doubt this is just the beginning. Remember when the editorial staff made such a stink when the Times did their “advertorial” on the Staples Center? That was before the pay and staff cuts. You can bet today those same editors are whooping it up with every order of an Obama t-shirt, belt buckle or collectible plate. What a difference a recession makes.
