Someone please explain to me why American weather persons have to be so…?
This is a typical weather reporter in America. I don’t want to make generalizations but in an attempt to avoid putting women in a stereotypical role local TV stations have perpetuated an even worse stereotype.
Not so in Europe. Since weather is generally brain-numbingly simple to report, why not have some eye candy giving the report? Makes sense to us:

I’ve never scientifically surveyed things, but in Los Angeles the genders of weatherpeople seem to be fairly balanced.

He looks like the typical Palos Verdes trust fund baby. Those guys either surf and smoke pot or they read the weather (their choice hinges on whether they dig chicks or not).

I’m a big fan of Jackie Johnson as well. I liked Lisa Joyner as well before she moved on to wherever she did.
