As I have said on several occassions, It makes no sense to burn your food for fuel. Just look at the cost of any food today that has corn in it or where corn is used as feed. Prices will only go up more if we continue to pursue corn, or any other food crop as a source of fuel.

We should be developing a means to convert the by product of food, sewage, to fuel. It is plentiful, nobody wants it and we pay millions to get rid of it.

[...] Independent Sources wrote an interesting post today on Check the temperature in hell! I agree with Paul Krugman - Biofuels are a scamHere’s a quick excerpt … r fallen slightly since 1998 , but hell it’s a start. Global Warming, Ethanol, Paul Krugman…If even Paul Krugman recognizes this maybe we can finally get past the global warming boogey man and look sensibly at energy production….OK, probably not since even Krugman still can’t shake the insistence that the majority of global warming is man made when in fact temperatures have plateaued o…The subsidized conversion of crops into fuel was supposed to promote energy independence and help limit global warming….
