Anyway, I’m posting from a Panera so I’ll have to be short. This came from contributor Dr. Hoist and I thought it was clever…

You want an adventure in non-native-English-speaking tech-support goodness? Trying changing your address/phone with Earthlink DSL.

They were all very nice to me, but it was like having a polite dentist who works without novocaine.

Mmmmmm panera. sweet cinnamon rolls make the pain go away….

    Insider Says:

Here is the real challenge with Earthlink, try finding any two tech support people at that company who can agree on anything with regard to your account. They are the masters of the conflicting information. They will say, “hold and I’ll transfer you to someone who will give you a trouble ticket.” You hold for 30 minutes and then a new Indian picks up the phone and says “I can’t give you a trouble ticket until we test the line but I’ll have to transfer you to someone who can help you. I’m sorry for your inconvenience.” Needless to say, the person you are sent to will apologize and then tell you that they can’t do any testing without a trouble ticket but they will “gladly help you by transferring you to the right person for that.” This can go on for days.

The only thing they do well is apologize well and that is only because they have to do it so much. That company is doomed.
