It’s fairly widely known, despite the vast conspiracy to cover it up, that there are huge holes at the poles where UFOs transit to and from their subterranean bases. It’s very possible that with global warming melting the ice packs, one or more of the holes may be flooding and no longer in use. This, obviously, is another escape route.
The fact that they chose a city in Central America is interesting. They’re likely counting on most of the world’s apathy toward the area, which may explain why Hugo Chavez has been drawing so much attention toward him like a vortex.
I think we should send Nicholas Cage and Michael Moore to investigate. Push them in and see what they report back.
