Tip: If you complain about the poor portrayal of students by the media…
…then don’t get arrested for drunk driving shortly after your letter to the editor is published. Bloomsburg University’s student government president,Christopher Bevan, was charged with drunken driving just weeks after saying the media has unfairly portrayed students as irresponsible. After being pulled over for doing 50 in a 15 mph zone he was found to have a blood alcohol level of .143.
Bevan had complained about local coverage which depicted local students as alcohol-fueled.
No comment as to whether Bevan will be considered more of a hypocrite or a moron or whether the entire episode will just be chalked up as “ironic.”
Also no word on whether Bevan sang “Springtime for Hitler” and rolled around on the ground like a baby as happened at this recent DUI bust.
