Flight Delayed While 747 Maintenance Crew Sacrificed Goats

“…our ground crew tells me that they are almost finished fixing the problem.”
Airline officials at the Kathmandu International Airport in Nepal sacrificed two goats in a bid to stop technical problems on a Boeing 747. The issue appears to have been electrical problems and, notwithstanding an absence of anything in the Boeing maintenance manual about goat slaughter, it appears that the sacrifice did the trick.
“The snag in the plane has now been fixed and the aircraft has resumed its flights” said airline official Raju KC.
Animal killings in response to technical problems are not the only bizarre custom in Nepal. For example, menstruating girls are separated from boys and kept in a dark room for 12 days. On the 12th day, the girl then pays homage to the sun.
Sequestering girls on the rag is one thing but when it comes to fixing a 350 passenger jet I’d rather have a Boeing-certified Mr. Goodwrench than some dude with goat blood on his ax telling me the plane is now okay to fly.

Brilliant, why did I not think of this when my car broke down?! I wonder if the goats were later cooked and served as an in-flight meal?
