No Child Left Behind Meets Miss Teen U.S.A.
When asked why it was that 20% of American’s can’t even find the United States on a map, Miss Teen South Carolina had this to say…
As a U.S. American, I’m embarrassed that our education hasn’t done more to address the map shortage as well as the people of South Africa, the Iraq, and other Asian countries.
Update***: Moon reminds us not to confuse lack of intelligence with utter incoherence.
***correction made.

The fact is many Americans don’t have maps. Further, if we build up education in potential trading conduits, such as South Africa and such as Iraq, we improve our ability to import maps. It is heartening to hear a young American who is not only aware of the problem, but who is willing to offer up a solution to close the growing map gap.

“Update: Moon reminds us not to lack of intelligence with utter incoherence.”
Huh? That sentence is completely incoherent. I assume we meant to put confuse in there somewhere. Just having some fun with ya. My main point was I don’t want her to get discouraged being on camera because she looks so dang hot.
I do find it funny tho that a statement about intelligence, incoherence, and confusion could be so muddled tho. Slap me for being silly, but I did enjoy that a lot. Please, don’t change it on my account.

Inside Guy, I liked it just the way it was. What better about an incoherent comment than an incoherent comment?
Brent, I LOVE your map, can I have it too?
