Lindsay Lohan’s Big Bust
It is indeed the summer of sequels, Shrek III, Pirates III, Fantastic Four II, so why not Lohan Bust V. Lohan who once dominated media coverage because of her increasingly prominent figure is now almost solely identified with her inability to get her act together. Less than a month after her PR goons trumpeted her sober 21st birthday (which ironically signified her ability to start drinking legally), she has been booked again for driving a white Denali SUV through Santa Monica under the influence, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), driving with a suspended driver’s license, and bringing a controlled substance to jail (cocaine).
She was caught after racing through Santa Monica “chasing another vehicle”. That’s not a smart thing to do when you are higher than a kite, have a blood alcohol level over .12, and don’t have a driver’s license.
If we look at what happened to Paris Hilton for getting caught on just the last charge, Lohan will most certainly be spending quite a bit of time in jail. Because of the backlash that LA Sheriff Lee Baca got for the “special” treatment of Hilton, Lohan should be expecting hard time when it’s her time to go to the Lynwood facility.
This brings up so many questions:

1. Why was she even out, let alone driving at 1:30 a.m. (the time of her latest arrest)?
2. Where are the people who are supposed to be helping her? Could they at least have been the ones driving?
3. What about this much-hyped alcohol sensing ankle SCRAM bracelet?
4. How long will it take for her PR hacks to send out a new release noting that after this last arrest she is really, really, really sober?
5. What really happens in these $5000/day rehab programs? Do they ever work?
6. What kind of an idiot brings coke into a jail?
7. Will her figure ever become the focus of her media coverage again?
She is currently being held at a jail in Santa Monica, which I believe is the first time she has gotten to spend time in those facilities. But this doesn’t look good. In Los Angeles these days, unless you are married to Rocky Delgadillo driving under a suspended license is going to get you jail time.

If you want to make a ton of money in L.A. without having to ever show results you have two choices: open a rehab facility or be the GM of the Clippers.

Whatever happened to the lines on the wall that showed the perp’s height? And the little plaque that they held up with all the numbers? This new generation of mug shot is too Classmates.com for my taste.

It’s time to put her vehicle on blocks — why even be ABLE to drive a car when you can’t do it legally? For her own protection I recommend this or else selling the vehicle and buying another one later.
This procedure would have helped both Lindsay Lohan and, earlier, Paris Hilton. In fact, I think for people living in a single-person household (where no one legally able to drive would be there) the DMV should require that vehicles be put on blocks, sold, impounded, or otherwise disabled from driving if the only would-be driver has a suspended license. This could be a good thing for all concerned.

2. The people that are helping her are helping her…helping her get booze and coke.
3. Did you hear Tracy Morgan on Roggin and Simers Squared? The things don’t work, or they’re easy to take off, or something.
4. The press release is pretty much complete; it’s a “fill in the blank” deal.
5. The sad truth is that in the majority of cases, rehab programs DON’T work. It doesn’t matter whether they’re country club, scared straight, or whatever. The addiction is so powerful that the person just can’t change. One of my relatives died a few months after a stint in rehab (he checked himself out).
7. Only if the booze causes a weight gain.
