I’ve worked at stations and like you said earlier. All they’re doing is reading from a telepromter. That’s it! The news stories are not written by them. It’s written by writers. The producer is the one who puts it all together and the director tells them what to do.

All a news anchor does is read from a teleprompter. Why not give the job to somebody who is easy on the eyes? All these good-looking, unemployed actors and actresses in Hollywood, and I have to watch Furnell Chatman read the news? WTF?

Love to see what Brad Streit has been airing on his TV news that has such journalistic integrity.

In her biography, Linda Ellerbee (who also hails from Texas) commented on the fact that she was advised to pay her dues, slug through the bad stories, bla bla bla…and then Phylllis George ended up in the anchor chair.

Whatever faults Dan Rather may have had, at least he had some inkling of what integrity truly means.

Now I just have to figure out who this Melissa Theuriau is…
