In fact, many of her victims may not even notice, as many thieves like this have become more savy in how they steal credit card information. Many now use many cards for small purchases that stay below the radar on the credit card computers, and the charge blends it to the victims statement so even if they do look at it, (a majority never do) it will not stand out. They can continue to use the card as long as it is active. The best defense for identity theft is self defense. You did not mention if you had become one of her victims.
