Uri Geller’s psychic powers can’t help him from looking like a clueless jerk

In the 70s, Uri Geller, an annoying fraud who claimed to be a spoon-bending psychic was all over late night television. Despite numerous debunkings it took years for his popularity to finally wane. Like most people, I had forgotten about him until he misused the DMCA to attempt to get an unflattering video taken off YouTube. The video in question (link) shows how many of his popular tricks were done and what a fraud he really was. It’s quite a good clip and contains a classic “Tonight Show” sequence. Not only did Geller fail in his bid to quash the video, he’s popularized it.

I always thought Geller was a fake. The only real deal was The Amazing Kreskin. That dude could read people’s minds.
