Two fires
It was initially a typical day at the beach.

Venice Beach at its best
But if you turned around it looked like a nuclear bomb had gone off in LA. It turns out to have been a brush fire in Griffith Park.

Then if you turned to the left you could see a smaller, yet still significant plume much closer to home.

I bet the meter is still running
The driver was complaining to the fire captain that it took a full 25 minutes for them to get there after calling 911. 25 minutes probably seems like an eternity when you’re watching your car go up in flames.
