Research that tracks exactly what people are looking at on a web page reveals that men are … well, looking to answer the question “whose is bigger?”

To make matters worse, Tara Pernice Coyne, Nielsen/Norman Group’s director of research who co-directed the study, told USC’s Online Journalism Review that “this difference doesn’t just occur with images of people. Men tend to fixate more on areas of private anatomy on animals as well, as evidenced when users were directed to browse the American Kennel Club site.”

It may be no surprise that men can’t help checking out the competition. But Dobermans and sheep dogs?
