Help Save Chrysler

At least Chrysler has one nice looking model in its product line.
I was at a Chrysler dealership today (don’t ask) and I don’t think there is any saving the mediocracy . But Joe Sherlock, who will be familiar to the people person who reads us, came up with a plan to save Chrysler involving timeshares.
Actually, at $4b (the price quoted by Joe) I say we give the private equity boys a shot at it. Supposedly the following firms have some form of interest:
The Carlyle Group - carlyle.com
Apollo Management L.P - wikipedia.org
The Blackstone Group - blackstone.com
Cerberus Capital Management, L.P - Cerberuscapital.com
Where’s Gordon Gekko when you need him?
