In Mexico tortilla prices have risen as much as 400% since November causing President Felipe Calderon to promise publicily that he will look into the matter.

Today’s Malibu fire (which burned 4 homes possibly including a home owned by Suzanne Somers) demonstrated the value of citizen journalism to a traditional media company like the LA Times.
