Wait a minute my culture is as valid as yours…
Even if it does allow stoning my wife to death for burning dinner.
Don’t stone women to death, burn them or circumcise them, immigrants wishing to live in the town of Herouxville in Quebec, Canada, have been told.
The rules come in a new town council declaration on culture that Muslims have branded shocking and insulting.
Herouxville, which has one immigrant family in its population of about 1,300, is 160km (100 miles) north-east of Montreal.
Its council published the new rules on the town’s website.
OK all of those behaviors are bad, but it doesn’t seem like there was a pressing need to adopt this policy unless the one immigrant family in town has been running around willy-nilly circumcising local school girls and stoning the house wives.
The man behind the declaration, councillor Andre Drouin, told the National Post newspaper the rules were not racist.
“We invite people from all nationalities, all languages, all sexual orientations, whatever, to come live with us, but we want them to know ahead of time how we live,” he said.
Mr Drouin said there had been a number of recent incidents of culture clashes that meant the new rules were needed.
In one a Toronto judge ordered a Christmas tree removed from a court so as not to offend non-Christians. In another a Montreal gym installed frosted windows after a Hasidic synagogue complained the sight of adults exercising was offensive.
Oh, if only the entire world would just accept the innate superiority of American culture we could all just sit back and watch “Baywatch” and scartch ourselves in peace and harmony. When on when will people learn?

First they came for the English-speaking people, by banning their language by law in Quebec. Now they have come after Muslim immigrants in Herouxville, Quebec, by the passage of insulting laws. I wonder who is next on the list of the Metis people, the Quebecois who have the audacity to style themselves as French?
It’s amazing how a people of North American Indian and French background can ever call themselves canadienne-franciase (French-Canadien)? Does a MULE call itself a HORSE? It does not, because it knows better. The Quebecois in English, are simply called BREEDS in the U.S., but in Canada, they keep using every other term to cover their race.
