One of the original Mad Magazine illustrators, Wally Wood published this poster in The Realist, an underground newsletter, in 1967. An inside source at Disney told Realist editor Paul Krassner that the company chose not to sue to avoid drawing attention to what could ultimately be a losing battle. However, Disney was not so reluctant when an entrepreneur pirated the drawing and sold it as a black light poster. The blatantly commercial nature of the bootleg–as well as its potential to reach an audience far larger than the Realist–prompted Disney to file a lawsuit, which was ultimately settled out of court.

Speaking for myself (the only person I’m even marginally qualified to speak for), I think this is due for an update. I’d start with Ariel from Little Mermaid, who was pretty much made for this poster. If you lose those clams she’s ready to rock n’ roll. Then thrown in a slutted-out Belle and you’ve got a winner. I know that there is also Jasmine from Aladdin but she never really did it for me. Anyway, who am I forgetting?

Dora? So many options there. I mean, she keeps a backpack with her at all times. Do we truly know what’s in it?
Sandy doing Spongebob and/Patrick? ( It’s already been done to some degree, I think it’s on Youtube? ) Squidward would be real interesting with all those appendages. However, with his personality, I don’t see him getting any anytime soon.
Jimmy Neutron had more than enough chances to do Cindy on the island, were scenes omitted that might be floating around out there? ( Think about it, her last name IS Vortex! )
Anime has been worn out with porn versions, so I’d skip that venue completely.
Can you tell I spend a LOT of time with my three ( very soon to be four ) year old boy?
