Unsolicited Marketing Calls to Insider’s Cell Phone
Insider got his first telemarketing call on a cell phone. Even worse it was one of those automated telemarketing calls that robbed me of the ability to yell at a human. I’m pretty sure this is illegal and my phone number is on the national do-not-call registry.

The # that showed up on my cell phone was 1-602-624-4927.
I called it and there was an automated system for me to stop getting calls from them. However that is not good enough for me and I’d like to give them a little bit of their own medicine. Any suggestions on what I can do?
Speaking of annoying marketing intrusions, someone actually did a scientific study on which is worse…spam or direct mail. Duh. How about both?

I get a call from that same number about once a week. It starts with “Hey, guys!…” I recognize the number when it comes in, say “Hello” to get it started, then hang up when it starts. Wish I could block that number, but its just turned into a little routine for me.

Thanks. I haven’t had a call back since I called them back and took me off their list. But as I said above I don’t think that’s good enough. They should have the system to be able to tell that is a cell phone and not call. I want blood.

Info found on whocalled.us about this phone number…
This is Security Pacific Financial www.securitypacificfinancial.com
Call 1-800-370-0100. Report them to the FCC and BBB for violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
Doyle Glass is the president, Greg Borsuk is the operating officer. They are co-owners. http://whocalled.us/lookup/5034263120
North County Communications Corporation seems to own all of the phone numbers doing the illegal calling for Dish Network and Dorothy from Security Pacific Financial.
They also advertise doing telemarketing although they have somewhat amended their website since more people are catching on. They claim they are just a telephone company and even conveniently claim they support the Telephone Consumer Protection Act .

Well, Todd. I took the information you provided. Security Pacific denies doing any telemarketing whatsoever for themselves or through a 3rd party provider.
I too got and have been getting the annoying phone call. So, I pressed 1 so I could speak with an agent to get more information. The phone rang about 6 or 7 times before some woman who was clearly annoyed answered the phone “Customer Service “. I said, yes I got a call from your company and the auto-attendant said to press 1 to speak with someone to get more information. The woman paused for quite some time and rudely said, “We don’t do home loans this time of the day.” and hung up on me. It was 3:30pm Eastern Time.
