Banning Tag? You’ve got to be kidding.
From Sports Illustrated:
…school districts as diverse as Cheyenne, Wyo.; Spokane, Wash.; Charleston, S.C.; Santa Monica, Calif., and Attleboro, Mass., have decreed that the game children have been playing, well, forever and ever and ever, is too dangerous to either the physical health or the mental well-being of our little 21st-century darlings.
At a time when childhood obesity is at an all-time high do we really want to eliminate the one thing that gets the little ones running? Unless they’re playing tag with bats with nails sticking out of them, this is simply over-protectionism run amok.
