One death every……………………………. 13 seconds
One international migrant (net) every………… 31 seconds
Net gain of one person every………………… 11 seconds
That takes us to 300 million by Tuesday October 16th.
Right now, we’re at:
Click on the number above to get the latest figure. It changes every 11 seconds so you can sit there and watch (virtually) as people are born, die and immigrate (net), if you are into that sort of thing.
Hat Tip: to boomer blog LifeTwo for the population clock link. For those of you who care, LifeTwo also discusses the implications of the growing population to retirement planning and reminds us to not get all worked up by the 300 million figure. After all we’ll be at 400 million in another 36 years or so. Great.
