Adult pols trolling MySpace for young…..voters; Still creepy

WSJ reports (may require fee) that politicians such as U.S. Rep Ted Strickland are increasingly creating MySpace profiles to attract young voters. Given the coverage on what other senior politicians have been trolling for on the Internet the whole thing comes off just a little creepy.

Also, if you are expecting any serious political dialog, you can forget it. This is MySpace after all. Mostly “shout outs” to Ted from his supporters. At the time of this writing, the most recent comment on Ted’s blog was…

WASSUP TED

Here’s another one…

Hey Ted, what do you like better cds or tapes?

OMG!

I’m more than a few MySpace users are thinking it’s time to move to Bebo.
