Montreal Shooter Was a Goth but that doesn’t mean that all those in trench coats are killers (just some of them)

Killer’s website notes that he’d like to die:

Like Romeo and Juliet -or- In a hail of gunfire

I like Goth culture, music, and fashion but have to admit that it looks a little bad for the vampire crowd when one of their own goes off and starts shooting people again like the black trench coat-clad lad who shot twenty people in Montreal yesterday.

It’s not the first time this is happened and in the aftermath when people go back and look at the way the killer goth dressed, behaved, blogged, etc., it looks very bad that no one was able to see something was very wrong and intercede. The problem is that thousands, tens of thousands of goths are able to dress up and enjoy the macabre without realizing it is just dress-up and fun so how do you pick out the dangerous ones when everyone is wearing black? Of course when they start acquiring automatic rifles or dynamite that’s a good sign something is amiss, but is there a way to identify the loons without coloring the whole group?

The Killer: While police have yet to name the killer, a police source and media reports have identified him as Kimveer Gill, who lives with his mother in Laval, north of Montreal. (Note: Don’t they always seem to live with their mother?)

On a Web site filled with obscenities and hatred for authority, Gill posted a log and about 50 pictures of himself, many of them posing with a semi-automatic rifle and wearing a long black trench coat and boots.

Kimveer Gill

In rambling and angry blog entries, using the identification fatality666, Gill raved about video games involving shooting, and said “I love guns. . . . I really do. The great equalizer. . . . wouldn’t you say?”

Here is the cache of Fatality666’s site (reported to be Gill’s). Try and count the clues that Gill left that he was a tad troubled?

For example, how about this?

You are longing to kill yourself, you slit your wrists, not for fun, but because the world isn’t worth living in.

or this…

“Angel of Destruction. You’re [sic] ultimate goal is to see the world in pieces. Rage and destruction feeds off ofd you…”

Finally, this image from Gill’s website:

Just to be balanced, there are good goths like this one:

Why cant they just take one of their weapons and end it without going on a rampage? It would be so much easier!

I have the same opinion about murder suicides. I’m fine with murder suicides as long as they switch the order of their acts.

I can’t believe some people are feeling sorry for this Gill person, he shot up a school, why are these people saying oh he shouldn’t have died, and all he needed was a hug, and to be accepted.. I can’t believe it, Imagine if you were the family of the young lady who died. How would that feel? I’m glad that this guy got punished for his actions, and he most certainly deserved what he got.
