Technorati tag: site upgrade

Pretty big upgrade over at Technorati as they work to avoid becoming irrelevant in the world they helped create. At first glace I like it but part of me found comfort in the familiarity of the previous version. Also, being a creature of habit, I’m not sure how many of the changes are in fact new versus being things that were already there but I just wasn’t aware of. An example is bringing back the “number of blogs that link here” to all results. This information used to be front and center and then it either went away or was moved back and now is where I like to see it. I don’t want to be elitist but when searching Technorati it’s nice to know if a blog has 5 inbound links or 500. Many, many other changes both substantive and cosmetic.
