Yet another Deb Frisch update

Deb Frisch, has offered her thoughts on how to end the current mid-east violence. They are as profound as the rest of her utterings:

dear israel: shalom or shalom?

Any American with half a brain understands that Israel is more like the 51st state of the union than like a “foreign country.” Great Britain’s like our parents, whom we would never, ever, ever disagree or fight with and Israel’s like our baby, who we’d never ever disagree with or abandon.

At one of the first anti-war demonstrations I went to in war$hington, deecee in 2002, I joked to the guy next to me that they ought to move Israel to Connecticut. Whose idea was it anyway to give the Jews THE most contested piece of real estate on the planet. Very, very bad idea for world peace, in hindsight. It is time for Israel to be moved to the US. We outsource so much - it’s time to insource Israel and give Jersusalem to the Muslims. It’s a no-brainer, really, if you think about it which of course, no one wants to do.

As Israel tortures the children of Beirut - 100,000 people displaced, countless without electricity or water, Americans really need to ask whether we need to abuse the children of the middle east any more than we have.

Israel is attacking Lebanon with the United States’ permission, encouragement, financial support. It’s as if we were bombing Beirut ourselves.

If Israel doesn’t say SHALOM (peace) immediately, I say it’s time for the US to say SHALOM (good-bye) to Eretz Yisrael.

Ace at Ace of Spades has the best take on this:

The Deb Frisch Plan For Middle East Peace

1) Continue writing like an uneducated moron by calling Washington, DC (I’m not kidding) “war$hington, deecee.” The “deecee” part is new. What that is supposed to mean in her paranoid-schizophrenic semiotic system, I cannot even guess. I think that’s the proper way to write it according to Strunk & White’s The Elements of Batshit Crazy.

The response from Dan Collins at Dr. Frisch’s blog sums up the rebuttal pretty well:

Memo: Israel provides the water and much of the electricity for Palestine.

Memo: Israel abides by the Geneva Conventions with respect to Palestinian prisoners.

Memo: Tunnelling from Palestine to Israel and kidnapping soldiers, killing eight others, is not cool.

Memo: Lobbing missiles into Israeli territory not aimed against military targets is not cool.

Memo: Israel provides full citizenship to non-Jewish citizens in their territory. No Arab state reciprocates.

Memo: For some odd reason Jews decided after WWII that it was a bad idea not to have a state to represent you.

Memo: Liebermann is a Senator from Connecticut, and a Jewish supporter of the war in Iraq. Any coincidence there?

Memo: Rank of the US in worldwide financial aid to the PLO prior to the accession of Hamas: number 1.

Memo: Number of Israeli prisoners missing since 1984 who have never been contacted by the Red Cross despite repeated requests from that organization to the Palestinian Authority: 4

Memo: Number of Jews who were expelled from Arab states upon the settlement of Israel to resettle there, 1948, treaty to which most Arab states were signatory: about 500,000.

Number of Arab Holy Cities: 4
Number of Jewish Holy Cities: 1
Percentage of once Islamic-occupied lands turned over to local governments by Western powers without recourse to warfare: 2/3.
Percentage returned to Western powers without warfare: 0%

Guantanamo: Koran provided
Saudi (and numerous other Arab states): Bible permitted? No.

Gay men and women who have the right to self expression in Islamic states: none
Gay men and women who might suffer death penalty in same states: over 75%

The list goes on and on, but why argue? Obviously, it’s much better just to permit a post-facto genocide and let this enlightened race claim as much power in as many places as possible.
