Haley Joel Osment in car accident; could be the beginning of a career renaissance

“I see a brick pillar!”
“Sixth Sense” actor Haley Joel Osment was hospitalized early Thursday after he apparently lost control of his car while heading to his Los Angeles area home.
Sadly, the one-time big star was driving a 1995 Saturn when he collided with a brick pillar and flipped over. The non-Ferrari Enzo-involved accident happened around 1 a.m.
Osment was alone in the car. Unfortunately there were no female passengers to mysteriously run from the vehicle before police could arrive.
Osment is set to appear in the upcoming film “Home of the Giants” where he plays a high school journalist covering a basketball team as it heads toward the state championship. With this accident and the ensuing press that should entail, Osment could be looking to step up into higher profile projects. Particularly if it turns out that alcohol or drugs was involved in the single-car crash.
As Defamer says:
“[we] can’t help but feel a totally inappropriate sense of pride about Osment finally deciding to raise his profile by appropriating the tabloid-attracting tactics of his less talented peers. We sense this could be the beginning of a huge comeback.“
Yes, this is a trend.
