Dog Days of Summer: odd things you can do with dogs
Dog for calling 911:
Kevin Weaver from Florida suffers from diabetes. He had a seizure and collapsed. Belle, his beagle, bit into his cell phone, hitting the 911 auto dial button, and saved her master. Belle has been honored with a medal at a ceremony in Washington.
Dogs used as a blunt object:
Less lucky was a chihuahua in St Louis. It died shortly after being sold to a family by its breeder. The woman who bought the puppy was so angry that she charged into the breeder’s house, and hit her over the head with the dead dog more than 30 times. The breeder then reimbursed her the $100 she paid for it.
