A quick shout out to the cast of “SMS Dispatches from Vegas,” our lame attempt at an online reality show with Hagar, Stallion and Dirk. Tonight Hagar lost the $4,000 he had spread over several combinations of Heat over Mavs and the “over.” None of these came in though if Shaq had hit a reasonable number of free throws he would have salvaged something. (On one game Hagar lost what the average Guatemalan makes in a year.)

Stallion was there and broke even since he wisely took the Mavs. Dirk was on the sidelines and enjoying the floor show. Both Hagar and Stallion commented about the little enjoyment that Senator McCain seemed to be having while playing craps at the Mirage but he gambled nonetheless.

I bring this all up because we live in a funny world. Sometimes it takes a few sports bets, drinks, and twisted people to see exactly how crazy it really is.
