Patrick Kennedy: In a word, “absurd”
Yo! There’s a Kennedy in da House!

From the NY Daily News:
Fresh from rehab, Rep. Patrick Kennedy said yesterday he wants to be treated like an African-American from Washington if and when he gets charged for crashing his car on Capitol Hill.
What’s his new moniker? P-Keddy?
Nice obfuscation Patrick but if you want to pull off the Scrushy defense you better start making big donations to black churches and start hosting black ministers on your spiritual TV show. Just saying you want to be down with black voters/jurors isn’t likely to do much.
In terms of coming clean, Kennedy still maintains that he was drunk at the time of the 2:45 a.m. accident or that he was at a bar earlier in the evening of the crash as has been widely reported. You’ve got to give those krazy Kennedys kredit, they are certainly hard to pin down–even with pre-dawn single car, slurring-stumbling driver crashes.
