Pelosi Accused of “Discrimination”
… by Rep. William Jefferson (D-La.), the congressman found with $90,000 in his freezer:
Pelosi wrote the embattled lawmaker, who is at the center of a massive bribery scandal, a curt note requesting his immediate resignation from the powerful Ways and Means Committee … Jefferson promptly refused, calling her request “discriminatory” … and suggested that she was employing a double standard by failing to ask other lawmakers facing ethics questions to relinquish their committee assignments.

Pelosi looks ham-handed, Jefferson highlights for the world the other Democrats with ethics problems, the Congressional Black Caucus reflexively supports the man with $90k cash in his freezer … one aide to the CBC told The Hill (link above) “The African-American community, which overwhelmingly backs the Democratic Party, will not take this lightly. I hope she enjoys being minority leader.”
California Republicans are familiar with the circular firing squad. Sounds like DC Democrats want to achieve their same record of electoral success.
