MSM Leader BBC mix-up sees job candidate on live TV (video)

Truly from the Department of You’ve Got to See This.

The BBC apologized to viewers for a mix-up that resulted in a interviewee for a data center job mistakenly appearing on camera as an expert on Internet music downloads and commenting on the Apple Records vs. Apple Computer lawsuit.

IT expert Guy Kewney had been due to appear but instead job interview candidate Guy Goma, a graduate from the Congo, was put on live TV. A receptionist was blamed for the mistake that sent him to the studio. (Nice to see that the receptionists at BBC have final say on who goes on air.)

Goma was clearly taken about when introduced but answered all of the questions posed to him. He reported assuming this was an interview situation. Kewney watched on a monitor from a different reception area than the one that Mr. Goma had been in.

Mr Goma said his appearance was “very stressful” and wondered why the questions were not related to the data support cleanser job he applied for.

Mr Goma said his interview was “very short”, but he was prepared to return to the airwaves and was “happy to speak about any situation”.

If this had happened in America he would be claiming emotional distress and be represented by Gloria Allred.

Note: the mainstream media also screwed up by reporting that Mr. Goma was a taxi driver.

Update: Plot twist, it turns out Goma is an illegal immigrant who may be deported.
