Blogosphere scolds Independent Sources for missing LAT story
“We should have had our eye on the ball,” admits Insider
Whilst I was writing about the problem of excessive orgasms for some women, Senior Administration Official was cruising Craigslist with the keyword “breast”, and Chad was making really bad comment puns on the above, we missed yet another example of editorial bias with the LAT headline writers. Fortunately Patterico caught it but you can imagine our embarrassment at being so late to the party on this:
L.A. Times: Extra! Extra! Fox News’s Ratings Plunge 17%!!!! (In a Much Less Important Story, CNN’s Ratings Slip by a Modest 38%)
If you missed the story both Fox News and CNN reported ratings drops however CNN’s was more than double than that of Fox. However if you just looked at the headline you would think the world is falling in on Fox News–and Fox News alone.
A drop of 17% is certainly noteworthy but compared to CNN’s nose-dive from the rafters Fox is doing great. The article could have had the headline “CNN’s ratings plummet 38%! Fox News down much less.” But if the LAT wrote things like that there would be very little reason for this blog. Well I guess that’s not quite true since even with all of its writers the Times never covers such critical stories as this, this and especially this.
Even with that we apologize to our reader readers.

In my defense I did wait a whole day before posting that comment. I saw that bit about the Fox News ratings and honestly it just didn’t strike me as much of a story since everyone knows that Fox news only had higher ratings because the Trilateral Commision and the Illuminati had to decided it should.

“We should have had our eye on the ball.” No sh*t. And keep your nose to the grindstone, while you’re at it. Somebody needs to hold the L.A. Times feet to the flame.

Insider I’m disgusted by your narrow view. How can you attack SAO for cruising the web for breast’s, or take such unwarranted blame upon yourself for attempting to devote more time and attention to an important issue like the female orgasm. If anything we’ve not given these sorts of things their due…perhaps a fundraiser of some sort – maybe we can divert soft money contributions from campaign’s to extensive testing, or perhaps hire a team of “accountants” to engage in the dire process of due diligence. I have a feeling we may be able to order some bi-partisan legislation on that. Perhaps the stale mate in political debate stesm from lack of the proper motivation. These are issues that Repbulican and Democrat alike (well the men at least) can support by getting behind – or in front – or below depedning on their preference.
Finally, your statement of purpose – “But if the LAT wrote things like that there would be very little reason for this blog. ” After reading this I felt the pain that can only be matched by the discovery of the fraud of Santa or the Easter Bunny. After all, if not for you Insider, and Senior Administration Official, I’d be going through life without knowldege of the existence of Melissa Theuriau. Which is to say, I’d be going through life in the dark.
We love you Independent Sources – we forgive you.

Gunny,
It’s funny that you mention fundraiser as Senior Admin is discussing a fundraiser for the young lady in his post that is looking for investors for her new breasts.
