Johnny Depp Chooses His Kid’s City Lights View Over 50 Jobs
When given a choice between preserving the view from his kid’s play area and allowing the development of retail shops and a restaurant that would provide about 50* jobs to hardworking Angelenos, actor Johnny Depp votes against the people getting paid by the hour.
The Los Angeles Times reported that Depp is seeking to obstruct development of a parking lot downhill from his Sunset Strip house. While the proposed structure would not obstruct the views from his house, the actor’s representatives apparently claim that it could block his children’s views from a lower play area.
Thing is, in 2003 Depp famously said he was taking his children to France to live. So in theory they are never in their lower yard to notice their degraded aesthetics.
More comically, exclusive Independent Sources Action Team Sky Cam ™ photos show that the lower boundary of Depp’s house currently has landscaping sufficient to block any view that may exist:

Johnny Depp, friend of the working man? How about nominee for NIMBY — literally — of the year?
