Conspiracy Theorists Need New Poster Child

If Michael Hiltzik thought he was having PR problems all he has to do is look at the media coverage Charlie Sheen is getting from the release of Denise Richards‘ 17-page sworn declaration (made available via The Smoking Gun) to see he doesn’t have it so bad.

Denise Richards alleges that her estranged husband is unstable, violent, addicted to gambling and prostitutes, and visits pornographic web sites featuring young men and girls who appear underage.

Just a month ago, Sheen was in the news calling for an investigation into the 9/11 terror attacks. Conspiracy theorists jumped for joy and called him “brave” for having the guts to publicly come out with such statements. However they might have been better off to check into Sheen’s mental state before making them their celebrity spokesperson.

Under the threat of perjury, the smokin’ hot Richards also wrote that Sheen was a member of “disturbing” sex sites which promoted naked pictures of very young girls with pigtails, braces, and no pubic hair performing oral sex with each other. Sheen also favored gay pornography involving very young men. Furthermore and despite being married, Sheen belonged to several sex dating sites and his online profile included a photo of his erect penis. (Remind me not to look up this profile for verification.)

It turns out that Charlie Sheen’s belief in conspiracy theories, already documented in this blog, is not limited to 9/11. According to Richards, Sheen believes that her cessation of breast feeding their child and switching to formula would lead to their infant daughter becoming retarded. Per Richards:

“[Sheen] did not do any investigation of his theories; he simply adopted these conclusions without any basis for them.”

Sheen threatened to kill Richards the day she took their daughter for the shots. He also threatened the pediatrician over the vaccinations. Richards also swore that Sheen’s other delusions included paranoid obsessions, purchasing gas masks on the Internet and putting guns under the coffee table.

It was in this context that Sheen went public calling for the 9/11 investigation.

Sheen apologists will note that these type of allegations are common in divorce proceedings. Really? Sworn statements about underage boys, threatening pediatricians (documented via a separate written declaration from the doctor), paranoid obsessions, guns under the coffee table? I don’t think so.

Here were some of the comments left on the Independent Sources post where we questioned Mr. Sheen’s 9/11 allegations with a few comments from us based on the newly gathered information from Mrs. Sheen.

“Maybe instead of discrediting Mr. Sheen you should do a little research for yourself and get informed.”

Maybe you should do a little research before discrediting our discrediting of Mr. Sheen.

“He knew that he would get bad publicity from the media for speaking the truth, but he is one of the few brave celebrities. Why in the world would he go out on a limb and possibly hurt his career if he didn’t believe it?”

Perhaps because he is delusional? And as for bad press, perhaps because he knew that he was about to get a whole lot of it including references to underage gay porn, and generally aberrant behavior and the best thing for his image was to have the media focus on something other than his erect penis website profile.

“I thought Charlie sounded well informed, and he isn’t afraid to ask questions.”

His wife would certainly disagree.

“Thank you, Charlie Sheen for standing up for what you believe in.”

Be careful what you ask for.

“I wish people would leave Charlie Sheen alone. After all, he is one of the very few celebrities or high ranking officials that has enough guts to speak out.”

Red Herring.

“I do respect [Sheen] as being honest and real as a human and a citizen.”

Maybe you should read Richards’ sworn declaration before saying that in public.

“Charlie Sheen should be congratulated as a man of principles…”

Yes a man of principles who threatens his wife, is addicted to drugs and hookers, and enjoys gay porn. Great principles.

Something tells me that after the Richards’ declaration that number (which was grossly inflated to being with) will drop to about zero.

“THANK YOU CHARLIE SHEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Must be his madam.

“Christians support Charlie Sheen’s 9/11 conspiracy comments.”

Not any more.
