MTV changes voting results when Madonna fails to record acceptance video
According to Popbitch, Madonna was voted Best Female by the Australian MTV Music Awards but hadn’t bothered to record an acceptance video so organizers decided instead that the Best Female Award should go to Ashlee Simpson. They should change the name of the award to “Best Female (that we were able to get to record an acceptance video)”.
