Story about the missing Japanese soldier still being alive is true!
A former Japanese soldier was found in Ukraine and hopes to reunite with his family that last saw him when he left to go fight World War II. The 83 year old wasn’t found on some island still believing the war was raging but it is still amazing nonetheless.
Ishinosuke Uwano said that the government of the former Soviet Union had prevented him contacting his family once he moved to Ukraine.
“I have never spoken Japanese for 60 years, and first of all I would like to say ‘konnichiwa’ [hello].”
