Man flees traffic stop into mud…dies

In a story that gets repeated over and over, a long-time criminal who had conditioned himself to fear the police, attempts to evade them during a simple traffic stop and ends up much worse for the decision. In this case, Ellis Leflore was being pulled over in southeastern Dallas County for a simple expired registration tag.
After pulling over as he should, LeFlore did just about everything wrong that one could possibly do. He lied to deputies about his name and age and when he was asked to get out of the vehicle he ran into a cold muddy field losing his jacket and shoes in the process. In just a few minutes he gets stuck in 50-degree mud and dies of exposure. The moral of this story is simply too obvious to repeat.
