“Drive Christian Fascism out of S.F”
Battlecry is a Christian youth group:
… of hundreds of thousands of teenagers who, fueled by their Christian faith, are taking a stand against the pop-culture forces contributing to the unprecedented spread of STDs, drug and alcohol abuse, violence, and suicide among the teenage generation.
But what happens when these values come to ever-so-tolerant San Francisco? According to out-there web site indybay.org,
Right wing Christian fundamentalist bigots are coming to San Francisco this Friday and Saturday to hold a fascist mega-pep rally called “BATTLECRY FOR A GENERATION.” … bring drums, noisemakers, voices, banners, large signs, and your determination to drive Christian fascism out of S.F.!!!
We do think this is a little repetitive, since to the typical San Franciscan, “fascist,” “right wing,” and “bigot” are pretty much synonymous, aren’t they?
