Someone said that the technology did not exist for a cell phone to work on a plane way back in 2001. Since I never tried I can’t say. However I did climb Mt. Whitney in early 90s (9 or 10 years before 9/11) and some hot shot on top of the 14,500 foot mountain was successfully making cell calls with a basic cell phone of the era. If a call in the early 90s could be made from a rather remote 14,500 foot moutain then I’m not sure why calling from an airplane would be impossible. I’m not the telco expert perhaps you know more about cell technology than I and can explain how mr-I-just-climbed-a-mountain was able to do it.

Yes. Exactly. That’s why I have a blog so that when I disagree with someone or something I can make a funny picture of them. When a 2nd-rate actor takes the national stage on a topic that I personally feel he has zero credability/knowledge about I absolutely feel entitled to exercise my 1st Amendement right (not to mention my substandard Photoshop skills). I don’t single out Sheen as I have done the same thing to other “fellow” Americans Barbara Streisand (who I’m still waiting to move to Canada as she promised), Michael Moore, Oliver Stone, and Spike Lee.

You also talk about Iran (I think) but I’m not sure your suggestion about what we should do. Once again our “allies” Russia and France are not too crazy about our ideas in the region and the UN has had zero affect on them. Personally I have no idea what we should do and it spooks the hell out of me but I’m not the one remarking how we’re sitting “idly.” Is your contention that we should have invaded them instead of Iraq or that there is some sort of pressure we could be putting on them but we haven’t?

Finally, you ask me to “bring on the evidence.” This is just like my friend (who I discuss in the follow up post to the Sheen post) who challenged me to “prove that aliens are not amongst us.” Asking someone to prove a negative (that 9/11 wasn’t faked) is a hopeless cause which presumably is why you posed the question to me in the first place.

At this point, I would like to turn off comments to this post and move the coversation over to the follow-up (”Why do otherwise smart people believe conspiracy theories?”) so we don’t have comments on related topics going on in two places. Furthermore, I believe that the 9/11 true or false argument has played itself out. There will be those who so dislike Bush and what has happened since the attacks that Bush & Co simply must have been invovled in its planning (the cui bono syndrome) and there will be those who so distrust governments of any kind that 9/11 seems to perfect for it to have happened by chance (the anarchists view). With the 1000s of individual facts to interpret or misinterpret, it is no surprise that intelligent people such as yourself are able to find things that don’t make sense and for which the answers given to you are not acceptable. Because of that there will always be theories about conspiracies and debates like these. At least that’s my belief. Please check out the posting there and do not hesitate to share your views. For all I know, 20 years from now I’ll be in a FEMA gulag somewhere in Kansas rueing the day I didn’t believe you all.

I’m not on your team…you don’t have a team. You have a bunch of fools that go around to try to spread radical propaganda, and nobody listens to you. I remind you of my twist of fate with Sheen and spin city that brought me to you. Therefore, I will be leaving now…only back to read any responses you might have but I will not write back. You’re welcome in advance for my future representation of the people that are fighting for your ability to maintain and facilitate this totally useless debate.

By the way, Mel is obviously not my real name. I chose it because Mel Gibson and his Conspiracy Theory movie. I hope even the truly dillusional can appreciate that humorsly ironic etymology.

look no hard feelings brother a lot of folks need to research this further i am trying to keep an open mind so i stay away from the tunnel vision syndrome but all fingers are pointing at govt responsiblility
