Charlie Sheen Says 9/11 is a fraud so it must be so

It appears that some in the left are so upset about the war on terror being a Republican issue that instead of making the Dems strong on domestic defense, they would like the entire issue to go just away. What better way to do that than to say that 9/11 never really happened? However the only way for that to be true would be for it to have been the result of a massive Bush conspiracy. And this is exactly what some in the lunatic fringe are charging.

“Red Dawn” star Charlie Sheen is the latest celebrity to question the veracity of the attacks. Sheen questions the “official story” the attack was carried out by Islamic terrorists, who presumably were similarly framed in the two embassy bombings in Africa as well as other attacks around the world.

In one of his more ironic statements, Sheen said:

“We’re not the conspiracy theorists on this particular issue.”

Sheen said that most people’s gut instinct, that the buildings had been deliberately imploded, was washed away by the incessant flood of the official version of events from day one.

Sheen also questioned President Bush’s actions on 9/11 and his location at the Booker Elementary School in Florida. Once Andy Card had whispered to Bush that America was under attack why didn’t the secret service immediately whisk Bush away to a secret location?

This is the evidence of a cover-up of what would be the greatest hoax of all time? Is Bin Laden in on the hoax or is he just going along for the ride? What about all of those folks making cell phone calls from the hijacked planes? Were they in on it too or just dupes as CIA operatives were executing the evil Bush/Cheney secret plan?

What about the attacks in Spain and London? Were those the work of Bush too? Was it because 9/11 worked so well that Bush decided to blow up the New Orleans levees? And who killed Princess Di and Nicole Simpson anyway?

Of course Sheen isn’t alone. There are a whole cadre of otherwise unknowns trying to eek out some fame with their lunatic theories. Steve Jones (not the Sex Pistol) is leading the pack.

Sheen is correct in one thing only. We have a right to question anything and everything in this country. It’s part of our ‘checks and balances.’ But we also have a right to tweak pictures in Photoshop when those doing the questioning makes asses of themselves.

Maybe instead of discreditting Mr. Sheen you should do a little research for yourself and get informed. He knew that he would get bad publicity from the media for speaking the truth, but he is one of the few brave celebrities. Why in the world would he go out on a limb and possibly hurt his career if he didn’t believe it? There are oh….. hundreds of web sites where you can discover the truth about the real 911 conspiracy if you will just look. Don’t count on the mainstream media to let you in on the secret of the inside job. Check out Don Henley’s Inside Job song lyrics. I’ve been studying this subject for about a year now and i’m fully informed. Maybe you should do the same. You sound like one of the sheeple that follow and belive everything Bill O’reilly tells you to believe. Wake up!! It’s not cool to follow the pack. The old “conspiracy wacko” phrase does not apply to this situation. There are over 3000 people dead and it wasn’t Bin Laden. Take some time to do some research on the internet. This is the only place to get true facts. Why did WTC tower number 7 fall to the ground since it wasn’t even hit by a plane? Sounds suspicious to me. Do some research. Larry Silverstein (WTC leaseholder) admitted on a PBS documentary “America Remembers” that the building was “pulled”. They Pulled the building since there was terrible loss of life. Check out the term “Pulled” on any demolition web site. It takes weeks to plant explosives under the columns of the building. Do some research instead of trying to sound like a big shot who is not informed at all. You along with many other people are simply clueless and you don’t want to even know the truth.

I did as you suggested. For every loon with a 9/11 conspiracy theory there are many more deconstructing the flaws in their “arguments.”

For example, check out “The Pentagon No-757-Crash Theory:
Booby Trap for 9/11 Skeptics” (http://911research.wtc7.net/essays/pentagontrap.html) which rips apart each and every tenet of the conspiracy theorists beliefs.

Believe me, I get it. You, Charlie Sheen and his dad, hate George Bush. Good for you. I’m sure you campaigned and voted against him. You lost and it pisses you all off. Not content with attacking the mistakes that he has made and for which he should be held accountable, you’ve gone off the deep-end. Sorry, I don’t believe the government of the U.S. successfully pulled off the largest hoax in the history of mankind and blew up the pentagon and the WTC towers. I’m thrilled that you’ve studied the subject for a year and perhaps one day you’ll graduate to Area 51 and the fake Apollo moon landings. Check the Internet and you’ll read about these too! Don’t forget to play those Beatles records backward too.

I guess we can just disagree. I’m sure that you are sincere when you say that you have checked into it, but the websites that you find that try to tell a different story can be believable only to people who are brainwashed from the propaganda and have a preconceived notion that the government is good. You may want to check out infowars.com and see what Alex Jones has on his site. He backs all of his claims up by facts and nothing else.

I am not a democrat or republican. I am independent, but I did vote for George Bush both times. I made a mistake, but I do not trust any of them anyway. It is not right versus left, it’s right versus wrong. If it makes you feel any better to belive the way you do then that is ok, but don’t believe that just because I believe that 911 was a outright lie that I belive in UFO’s and all the conspiracies. The 911 issue stands alone. I guess you think that Steven Jones at BYU and all the professors are all wrong too. Steven Earl Jones is a professor of physics at Brigham Young University who conducts research in nuclear fusion and solar energy. Jones has also investigated the hypothesis that the World Trade Center Twin Towers and WTC 7, which all collapsed nearly symmetrically on September 11, 2001, were brought down by pre-positioned explosives.

I know that it is painful to believe that our own government commited this crime, but the evidence is overwhelming.

    Insider Says:

Okay, you’re not the crazy nut I painted you to be but I believe you to be wrong nonetheless. Yes I think that Steve Jones is a loon, and that opinion is based on reading his allegations. I think the same thing of Ward Churchill. The fact that they are tenured profs doesn’t mean much to me. In grad school I had a tenured professor who taught us that the only way to end inflation was to get the world back on the gold standard. He was a nut too (and wrong as it turns out). Seemingly normal people say and do stupid things all of the time. Having an edu email address doesn’t make them immune to it.

I don’t think the media has been brainwashed and more than a few of them would love the chance to break the story of the century. If there was a story.

I typically enjoy a good conspiracy theory, heck their fun and since they are essentially impossible to disprove (as every fact not in their favor can be explained away by making it part of the conspiracy) they’re kind of fun. However for something as recent and serious as 9/11, I just don’t find it so humorous. And seeing moonbats like Charlie Sheen tossing in their two cents really sends me off (as if that wasn’t apparent by my post).

Nah, certainly our government would never plan anything to hurt its own people?? As a pretext? Oh wait.. Operation Northwoods, that’s right.. http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/news/20010430/northwoods.pdf

Well, hmm.. Certainly PNAC (Project for a New American Century)didn’t mean anything when they said in one of their major reports, written in 2000, that “the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event — like a new Pearl Harbor.”
    Just a coincidence I am sure…
(members include Elliott Abrams, William Bennett, Jeb Bush, Dick Cheney, Robert Kagan, William Kristol, Richard Perle, Karl Rove, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz)

Why in the world did 7 wtc collapse? Why did the twin towers ignore the laws of physics when collapsing? odd, so did 7wtc.. It would be great to have more independent studies done.. but wait.. that’s right, the evidence was gotten rid of immediately.. I always thought it was illegal to do that when it is a crime scene.. But who am I to say. It is curious what the 9-11 commission says about 7wtc.. read it sometime.. Shouldn’t a 47 story building collapsing from fires alone be a concern? lol

Terrorists.. scary, yes.. I wonder why our borders are wide open?

How much was spent on investigating 9-11? Compare that to other investigations of this magnitude.. now, how much was Clinton/Monica investigation?

No matter your views, you should at least do some of your own research.. Skull and bones, PNAC, Northwoods, 9-11 Norad drills, Who was strangely given control of any shoot down orders 3 months before attacks.. first time in history, laws of physics, Bohemian Grove, bush/bin laden connection, 7 wtc, the list goes on and on from there.

I thought Charlie sounded well informed, and he isn’t afraid to ask questions.. More Americans should, before all of our rights are taken away under the guise of protection.

Carlos Santana gets 1600 news articles about his Bush comments.. Sheen has maybe 3..lol Journalists are soft these days.. It’s really a shame there isn’t more out there who are willing to open this can of worms up. Let Americans think for themselves.

And this makes him an expert on structural engineering how? A common misconception in our society is that because a person is an expert in one field, he is an expert in everything. Not true. In this case it is similar to asking a Brain Surgeon to design a computer motherboard. They are both related in a basic way but the differences eventually overcame the similarities. Knowing people who were there that day I am not buying into the conspiracy theory.

    you said it yourself

Knowing people who were there that day I am not buying into the conspiracy theory. And this makes them an expert on structural engineering how?

this is an emotional issue from many angles but it must not get in the way of reason. go back up the page and research some of the stuff the other folks have talked about. also think of all that has happened because of 911 that would not have happened without it iraq, patriot act, dissolving civil liberties, and on and on.

    chad Says:

I have followed the debate on this and none of the conspiracies hold water. Just to take the one that has been addressed here. Another researcher has shown that in order for the towers not to have fallen straight down they would have had to vary by more than 100 ft off center. So it is actually professor Jones’s theory that is violating the laws of physics.

Knowing people who were there that day I am not buying into the conspiracy theory. And this makes them an expert on structural engineering how?

It doesn’t and I didn’t claim it did. I was stating a personal opinion which is quite different than what Professor Jones et al are doing.

    Michael Says:

I think that the fact that Larry Silverstein admitted that building 7 was blown up is enough evidence. He is on film stating that the building was going to be “pulled”. The other towers 1 and 2 fell the same identical way. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see right through the coverup and Mr Silverstein helped by accidentally releasing this information. There were only two small fires in building 7 that the sprinkler system should have exstinguished. Building 7 housed the CIA, FBI, the mayor’s office and all of the investigative files that were going to be used in the pending lawsuits that were also covered up by the government. Once again, all it takes is research. Althought i’m sure it is easier to just sit back and let the USA fall and lose all our freedoms. Sounds easier to me, but i’m tired of getting walked on.

It was mentioned that the media would be the first to expose the situation if there was indeed a conspiracy, but from what i’ve been seeing in the news so far from the Sheen interview is cowardly reporters. They are just ignoring it. Most of the reporters do not know what real investigative reporting really is. Sure, Dateline will have massive amounts of information for an hour long show exposing things that don’t mean anything, but they just can’t seem to expose the corruption of 911.

  12. 12
    Insider Says:

In Arabic countries, one of the more popular rumors is that 9/11 was the work of the Israelis. I can understand why an uneducated, unempowered Arab on the street who is sick of seeing his county stuck in neutral while the rest of the world passes them by would propagate the many conspiracy theories surrounding the attacks, but I’m far less certain why others would so.

For some it’s probably the hate of the current presidency (liberals like Sheen), for others the hate of all presidencies (anarchists), and for others the sudden fame that comes to an otherwise undistinguished existence by jumping in the limelight (Steve Jones). If Jones comes out with a study supporting that planes flew into the Towers and they fell down, no one pays any attention. If he writes a paper saying otherwise he immediately gets invited to give lectures, write books, give quotes, etc. It’s surprising there aren’t more spotlight seekers doing the same thing. Perhaps he just beat them to the punch.

Now there may be a few intelligent folks not included in the above groups that are intellectually puzzled by a few of the pieces that appear to not fit. And without questioning what really happened (Islamic terrorists flew planes loaded with fuel into buildings), they are curious as to certain aspects of the events and are interested in solving those. I understand the concept of wanting to know why Tower 7 fell, I don’t understand people who extrapolate those questions while ignoring overwhelming evidence otherwise to concoct such a ridiculous assertion as the 9/11 attacks were faked.

For the record, I believe that we really did go to the moon and that crop circles and alien abductions are fake, so just call me a skeptic and move on. I also believe that OJ really did kill his ex-wife and Ron Coleman even though people like you probably believe that OJ was framed by conspiracy of LA cops.

  13. 13
    Michael Says:

You may be right that some people are just Bush haters and are trying to bring him down by blaming him, but most of the information that I get is from people who were also blaming Clinton for failure to heed to the warnings. Alex Jones had the phone number to the White House on his Television show asking people to call and warn the president prior to 911. Even he knew that there was an inherent attack.

Bush is probably not the instagator of the attack, but he sure knew about it and let it happen. What a coincidence to have drills the day of 911 where military planes fly into buildings or was that just a diversion so that the military would think it was just a drill and not stop the attack.

Getting back to hating the president and liberals. There are far more people that are blaming the government in whole than are blaming only the republicans. I’m sure when we get another democrat in office we will have the same crap. That is because the system will not allow a third party to get into office. It is just a complete fraud. Both parties act like they are going to bring change, but you just cannot get change until you change the entire political system. It’s almost funny how most people truly think that the other party is going to save us. I don’t claim to be overly intelligent, but it only takes a small amount of common sense to see right through the corruption. About a year ago, I bought into the hijacker theory too. I haven’t always believed in conspiracies.

Another thing about 911. How did all of the black boxes vaporize? Actually some of the clean up crew found some at the toweres, but the FBI told them not to say anything about it. If the black boxes were destroyed after all, how ludicris is it that a passport made of paper floated down through all of the intense fires and through all of the steel and rubble to land safely on the pavement below only to be quickly discovered by the authorities? Who writes these things? Oh and they found 9 of the hijackers alive and well. If they were cats with 9 lives there luck couldn’t have been any better. Do some real research this time. I would start by watching some documentary films with real video evidence. Don’t rely on you web sites that try to cover up for the government. A movie called Loose Change by Dylan Avery is a good place to start. He uses real video footage from CNN and other documentaries that expose the lie.

To me it’s all plain to see. I really don’t know why it is taking so long to convince you. It’s all in black and white. Oh, just like the person said a few posts ago, try checking out Bohemian Grove and then let us know what you think after that.

    lhampton Says:

in defense of the now demonized Steven Jones
these are some of Jones’s observations i pulled off the net which make sense regardless of what field of physics he’s in because either it’s just simple observation or textbook intro to physics. i mean any entry level student of physics is going to know conservation of momentum.

    * No steel-frame building, before or after the WTC buildings, has ever collapsed due to fire. But explosives can effectively sever steel columns, he says.

    * WTC 7, which was not hit by hijacked planes, collapsed in 6.6seconds, just .6 of a second longer than it would take an object dropped from the roof to hit the ground. “Where is the delay that must be expected due to conservation of momentum, one of the foundational laws of physics?” he asks. “That is, as upper-falling floors strike lower floors ? and intact steel support columns ? the fall must be significantly impeded by the impacted mass. . . . How do the upper floors fall so quickly, then, and still conserve momentum in the collapsing buildings?” The paradox, he says, “is easily resolved by the explosive demolition hypothesis, whereby explosives quickly removed lower-floor material, including steel support columns, and allow near free-fall-speed collapses.” These observations were not analyzed by FEMA, NIST nor the 9/11 Commission, he says.

    * With non-explosive-caused collapse there would typically be a piling up of shattering concrete. But most of the material in the towers was converted to flour-like powder while the buildings were falling, he says. “How can we understand this strange behavior, without explosives? Remarkable, amazing ? and demanding scrutiny since the U.S.government-funded reports failed to analyze this phenomenon.”

    * Horizontal puffs of smoke, known as squibs, were observed proceeding up the side the building, a phenomenon common when pre-positioned explosives are used to demolish buildings, he says.

    * Steel supports were “partly evaporated,” but it would require temperatures near 5,000 degrees Fahrenheit to evaporate steel ? and neither office materials nor diesel fuel can generate temperatures that hot. Fires caused by jet fuel from the hijacked planes lasted at most a few minutes, and office material fires would burn out within about 20 minutes in any given location, he says.

    * Molten metal found in the debris of the World Trade Center may have been the result of a high-temperature reaction of a commonly used explosive such as thermite, he says. Buildings not felled by explosives “have insufficient directed energy to result in melting of large quantities of metal,” Jones says.

    * Multiple loud explosions in rapid sequence were reported by numerous observers in and near the towers, and these explosions occurred far below the region where the planes struck, he says.

    chad Says:

As to the Silverstein quote, his spokesman has said and I believe he has personally said that when he said pull it he was referring to the firefighting effort since the building was becoming increasingly unsafe. Those around him at the time tend to back that interpretation.

It is often pointed out that no steel building before or since the 9-11 attack has collapsed as the result of fire. The following examples are generally cited in regards to this claim: the Caracas Tower (2004), One Meridian Plaza (1991), First Interstate Bank (1988) and 1 New York Plaza (1970), as illustrated here. The fire at the Madrid Windsor Tower has recently put more focus on this topic. In February 2005, this 32-story building burned for nearly 24 hours resulting in a partial collapse. In the aftermath, authorities observed how the steel portions involved in the fire had, in fact, collapsed. [18] As all the buildings mentioned above, the Windsor Tower differed from the Twin Towers as this structure was framed in steel-reinforced concrete. While all tall buildings have differences in design and materials, all steel framed high rise buildings must follow common standards of building code specifications for resisting fire [19] and other events which could result in structural failures.

So when critics make the claim that no other buildings have collapsed as the result of a fire they are a) not correct, b) comparing apples and oranges. To my knowledge the WTC was a steel framed building and not steel reinforced concrete or steel encased in concrete. Additionally,
The melting point of un-fireproofed steel is around 2750 °F (1500 °C) while the highest speculation regarding temperatures inside the twin towers circled 2000 °F (1100 °C). According to Farid Alfawak-hiri of the American Institute of Steel Construction, “Steel loses about 50 percent of its strength at 1100 °F (593 °C),” Asif Usmani of Edinburgh University concluded that the interconnecting beams of the towers could have expanded by around 9 cm at 500 °C (930 °F), causing the floors above to buckle.

You don’t suppose the multiple loud bangs might have been the floors dropping do you? I mean I know when I drop a book on a desk it makes a loud bang, does that mean an explosive went off?

I will close with this, “Unless you are in the middle of the African plains when you hear hoofbeats think horses not zebras”. And with that I am done with this thread as I am sure our host’s would prefer not to have their site hijacked by this.

Since we are on the subject of conspiracy theories here is my favorite:

This one that has to do with AIDS as a biological weapon.

    http://afgen.com/aids.html

I made this up in the early 80’s when I was a Hospital Corpsman A school in San Diego. We were in the CBR portion of training and I just made a joke about needing special gear to protect our butts from AIDS (at the time they hadn’t even id’d the virus and our instructors were telling us the only way to catch it was thru anal sex). Over the next couple years I heard it repeated a few times that AIDS was a Bio Weapon and I would tell people that I had said that as joke and go about my business. By the time I got to Preventive Medicine (Public Health) School in 1985 I was hearing about it all the time and actually read an article in one of the Bay Area papers that it was being considered a legitimate theory in France.

So to the best of my knowledge if I didn’t create this theory out of whole cloth I at least fueled it, and fairly substantially in a community, Navy Medicine, where those two issues would be discussed on a regular basis.

How was it possible that Osama Bin Laden was named the culprit within 7 hours of the attacks when the Bush administration claimed they had no prior knowledge of the operation being planned? Do you think the FBI was given enough time to gather evidence to supprt that accusation, let alone Osama denying that he had any knowledge of the 9/11 plot?

How was it possible for amateur pilots to fly the planes off course, turn of transponders and were able to find their intended targets, let alone defeating the most technology advanced defense system in the world? What I mean that was the pentagon was attacked one hour after the first world trade center strike without any scramblings of F-16 fighter jets to protect the skies.
