Lance Armstrong has finally dumped Sheryl Crow–a union that really tested the concept of opposites attract. For starters, he’s 9 years her junior and at 34 he could be dating girls in their 20’s. She’s 43.

Another example, politics. Crow absolutely despises Bush. Armstrong bikes with him.

–”Lance dumped her,” Us says plainly, and most of the tabs agree.

–InTouch says the cyclist has tried to end the relationship four times since September.

–The Enquirer says he’s always had cold feet.

She never really was a good biker chick. Rumor has it that she is responding to the dumping by re-recording one of her new songs (Always on Your Side) with Sting. The re-recording will allow her to update the lyrics with things like “Basso would’ve kicked your ass” and “I did Hincape while you were in the peloton”. Someone needs to remind her that revenge is a dish best served cold.
