Wide World of Disney Just Got Wider
To no one’s surprise, the obesity crisis hitting America has hit Disneyland’s workforce and the heaviest place on earth has been forced to redesign its costumes for ride operators, shop clerks, waitresses and other employees.
It turns out that it’s not just the guests who are packing a few extra pounds (see below) and, as of today, the uniforms for Disney employee men’s trousers will reflect this by stretching to 58-inch waists.

Photo: One of Disneyland’s rotund guests showing a little more than we’d like to see on the Splash Mountain (aka “Flash Mountain”) ride. (While we are on the topic, we’d like to share this comment with this guest, ‘just because you can do something doesn’t mean that you should.’)
