This house at the foot of 20th Street in Manhattan Beach, CA will set you back only $5.25 million …


… if you can ignore the estimated 100,000 gallons of raw sewage soaking through the sand outside. Yes, you could pay over $5m to live just feet from largest local sewage spills in a decade.

It’s safe to say the agent’s job just got a lot harder. Let’s hope she finds a nasally impaired buyer for the property, conveniently located just south of the “sewage spill” line on this aerial photo:

According to Thursday’s Daily Breeze, most of the beach is now open after Sunday’s 2 million gallon spill “except for a 2,000-foot-long stretch centered on 21st Street in Manhattan Beach where county workers had to dig a huge ditch to contain the sewage.” That would be … one (small) block over from the property.

So much for the beautiful ocean vista shown in the ad.

Buyers may wonder why all the windows are shut. …
