Upside of Los Angeles Living: road biking in December
Independent Sources has covered in detail the dangers of road riding in Los Angeles, especially on the notoriously dangerous Pacific Coast Highway. However, there are some days when the allure to head out up the highway are simply too hard to ignore. On yesterday’s ride, the waves up and down the coast were 10-15 feet leading to even more stunning vistas. With the exception of some unfortunate (and cold) fog in Oxnard, it was a stellar day for a bike ride.
I should note that “cold” referenced above is a relative term particularly when comparing it to the single-digit temperatures across the country during a week when we’ve been consistently in the 70s.
