Iran Living up to “Axis of Evil” Moniker

Last month we wrote a posting about Iran’s new nut-in-charge, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and got this comment:

“He is the best president for me and for Iranians.
Be care USA politicians don’t deceive we and you.
Thanks”

For reasons we do not understand we get a fair amount of traffic from Iran (probably checking out stories like this one) so it’s possible that it is legitimate. Legit or not, however, it is just plain wrong–horribly wrong.

Since the posting Ahmadinejad has called the Holocaust a “myth” and has called for Israel to relocate to Europe or North America. Actually, given Israel’s track record of turning desert into thriving economies I almost wouldn’t mind giving them New Mexico–they would be a great economic neighbor and would certainly seal the southern border. But they shouldn’t have to do it again and of course even the concept is ridiculous and said in jest.

Also in the news, Iran has purchased technology from North Korea to extend the range of its missiles so that they would be able to reach Europe. North Korea and Iran collaborating: Anyone still questioning the “Axis of Evil” or am I being too harsh on a soon-to-be-new-member of the nuke club who wants to “wipe Israel off of the map”?

Finally, I’m not going to even bother with his banning of western music off of Iranian radio. This is actually good since it is even more motivation for youths to set up alternate channels to get music (always a motivating factor along unfortunately with porn) which will also connect them to the outside world for news and information. North Korea is pretty much the only country that has successfully cut off its populace from outside influences and they’ve done that by starving them–not for the faint-hearted.

Update
: Intelligence Watch has is reporting that Syria has agreed to store Iranian nukes and missiles. The report comes from Jane’s Defence Weekly. (Also reporting the Kirk).

Update: News media in many Arab nations reported Ahmadinejad’s statement without condemning it.

Porn? Unfortunately? many peopel think that the driver of progress throughout history has been war, but they are wrong. It has been porn and easier access to porn. The main reason we went to war in WWII was not because of the Holcaust or Pearl harbor or just the general evilness of fascism. No, FDR was look for some of that crazy German Schietzen porn and Hitler was holding out. Why did we go to the moon? Naked Moon chicks that unfortunately didnt exist, which is why we haven’t been back since the 70’s. See how it all fits together. That’s also why we don’t have Faster than Light travel, someone figure out that when you apply E=mc^2 women travelling at the speed of light get heavier and no one wants to look at naked fat women.

You are right that porn has been a huge driver of technology…Internet, videocassettes, 900 lines (actually I’m not sure what good those are), web cameras, etc. I remember when prerecorded videocassettes came out and they were very, very slow to catch on. It was the adult titles that drove the market in the early days. And yes we know you well enough to know your tongue was in (presumably your) cheek.

I figure you knew, but I wanted to head off all the angry e-mails from fat women and their admirers.
