Masked man threatens West and pretty much everyone else in the world
A masked man believed to be one of Asia’s most wanted militants has warned Western countries, especially Australia, of more attacks in a video found last week by Indonesian anti-terrorist police.
Western leaders were quick to denounce the threat and say that they would not be cowed by terrorism especially by a threat as unoriginal and cliche as this one. Said one unnamed official, “Where’d they get this guy, central casting? Wearing a black balaclava and constantly pointing his right finger in the air? Where did he learn to act like a terrorist, watching Rambo? Even his threats are passe not to mention targeting pretty much the whole world. If you want to scare someone you need to be a little bit more specific.”
“We repeat that America, Australia, England and Italy are all our enemies.”
“The infidel rulers, the apostate rulers, those who oppress Muslims and victimize ulamas, the mujahideen, they are our enemies too.”
According to terrorist experts, Islamic extremists have had difficulty getting their message heard through the clutter of 300 plus cable channels, blogs, cell phones, videogames, instant messaging devices, Blackberrys, and iPods all competing for infidels’ attention.
“It takes a lot more than a beheading here and there to get on people’s radar these days. I’m not sure if the terrorists are savvy enough to navigate in this new multimedia world. We are seeing the side-effect of the leaders living in Pakistani caves and extremism will be doomed if they don’t quickly figure out it’s not 1995 anymore.”
Perhaps this was just a desperate attempt to get media exposure.
