The Incredible Shrinking Los Angeles Times, Part 19
L.A. Observed reports that the Los Angeles Times is closing down Tuesday’s Outdoors section. This was probably inevitable given the sparse ad pages it attracted, but I’ll miss it — it was unique, often very well written, and had great stories like today’s “A Voice For Silence” by John Balzar. There is no apparent home at the LAT content like that — the Travel section is targeted at chi-chi getaways, not natural adventures.
